Every pupil is given opportunity to develop their knowledge, skills and abilities to their full potential, regardless of ability.

While reference has been made to individual subject areas the school believes that the curriculum should be planned to consider and include various cross-curricular areas and themes, which cross, subject boundaries. These issues such as Environmental Awareness, Special Educational Needs, Multicultural Education and Equal Opportunities are referred to and included in curriculum planning. Health and Safety Education are equally important aspects of a child's education. Sex and relationships education is not taught separately but is dealt with in the context of the curriculum. It is the school’s policy to answer children’s questions, as they occur naturally, as any reasonable parent would.
Religious Education forms part of the curriculum for all students. The school is not of any particular religious denomination although statutory Religious studies are followed in accordance with the agreed syllabus of the Local Education Authority.
