SPECIALIST SCHOOL STATUS

Castlebrook has been designated a specialist Science and Technology College since September 2005.  This means that the school have received significant extra resources to provide enhanced facilities and courses in the science and technology curriculum.  We now have a purpose-built Construction Centre and have new courses in construction with strong links to the professions and trades associated with this important sector of the community.  The school is one of only twelve in the country with an educational partnership with Costain.  We have, also, since last September developed related courses in construction and successfully offered ICT courses for the local community.  In science the school will continue to offer the three separate sciences for our most able pupils.
