CAREERS EDUCATIONCareers education is introduced formally into the curriculum for pupils in Years 9, 10 and 11. Awareness of educational and employment opportunities is promoted and advice given on option choices, the entry requirements to higher education and employment. Representatives of trade, industry and the professions contribute to these sessions. The careers staff work closely with Connexions, Bury.
Parents are welcome to attend pupil interviews with the careers staff; normally there are interviews in Years 10 and 11. Pupils also prepare, as part of their Progress File, Individual Action Plans.
