CHARGING FOR SCHOOL ACTIVITIES

Education at Castlebrook High School, as in all maintained high school, is free. However, there are some activities, particularly visits out of school during the school day, where parents will be asked to make a voluntary contribution towards the total cost. For visits out of school hours pupil are normally charged the full economic cost. There are some funds available to help pupils where the family is in receipt of certain benefits. It is also the policy of the Governing Body that pupils should be charged for loss of, or damage to, any school property. All charges are kept to a minimum and parents are given full written details whenever a charge is made or voluntary contributions are requested.
