Akado Primary School
Akado Primary School is in a village called Kisumu in western Kenya.
Kisumu is near Lake Victoria.
It has 452 pupils.
The school is headed by Mr Maurice Owiti Olwe.
It has eight teachers.
The school has been built and rehabilitated by Plan International.
They have two water tanks where pupils can draw water to quench their thirst.
What has been happening with this link?
- Last year our international ambassadors sent letters to Akado Primary School to introduce themselves and our school.
- The year 6 pupils have exchanged letters with children at Akado Primary School.
- A package has been sent over to the school with a variety of things that will teach them a little about our school e.g. photographs of the school, a school prospectus, class fact files, a school jumper and tie, a prayer book and crucifix, information about the local area and maps of the local area.
- We also included in the package some disposable cameras for them to take photographs and send back to us.
