Year 6 News
Our topic for this half term (Autumn 1) is World War 2.
Our dance lessons have now begun with Miss Scott in preparation for the Dance Festival in December.
All year 6 children took part in Play for a Day on Friday 16th September. It was a great success and the children thoroughly enjoyed the experience.

Homework |
Homework is an essential part of children's learning as it reinforces new and old skills that the children have been developing in class. All homework needs to completed and handed in on time. If your child is having any problems with the homework please speak to their teacher. Homework goes out every night and needs returning the next school day. Monday: Literacy Homework Tuesday: Mental Mental Maths Homework Wednesday: Topic/Science Homework Thursday: Maths Homework Friday: Reading Homework |
Reading Books |
Reading Homework is on a Friday. The children need to finish reading their book over the weekend, have their reading records signed by an adult and bring their book back to school on the following Monday. Every Monday your child will be given a new book. If your child finishes a book before Friday they can get it changed by putting it in the reading box in school. |
P.E. |
PE days for Mrs Wallace's class are usually Wednesdays and Fridays. PE days for Miss Kelly's class are usually Wednesdays and Fridays. However its is essential for your child to keep their PE kit in school all week as we occasionally have extra lessons. |
Modern Foreign Languages |
Either Monday or Tuesday your child will be taught French by Mrs Nelson. |
World Faiths |
Your child will be learning about Buddhism this term during their World Faith lesson. |
Awards |
Our awards assembly is held on Monday mornings at 9am. It would be great to see you there, so please come along and celebrate the children's achievements with us. |
