School Organisation

 

In addition to Foundation Stage One (Nursery) there are 14 classes in total which consist of 2 classes for each year group.

Foundation Stage Unit

This houses part-time Foundation Stage One (Nursery) children and two full time Foundation Stage Two (Reception) classes.

Infant Department—Key Stage 1

This department has 4 separate classes divided into year groups:

Year 1

5 - 6 year olds

Year 2

6 - 7 year olds

Junior Department—Key Stage 2

This department consists of 8 classes:

Year 3

7 - 8 year olds

Year 4

8 - 9 year olds

Year 5

9 - 10 year olds

Year 6

10 - 11 year olds

Whilst classes are not streamed according to ability, it is the practice of the school to organise children in ability groups within classes for certain activities in order to meet their differing needs.
